The central board of secondary education (CBSE) is a board of education for all public and private schools under the union government of India. CBSE affiliates all Kendriya Vidyalayas, all Jawahar Navodya Vidyalayas, private schools and most of the schools approved by central government of India.
10th and 12th Exam are Getting Delayed 2017
Central board of secondary education declared that 10th and 12th board exams are getting delayed by one week due to state elections conducting in five states- Punjab, Goa, Manipur, Uttrakhand and Uttar Pardesh.
The CBSE exam will going to start from March 9 and continue till April 10, while class 12 will end up on April 29.
CBSE board assured that result is going to be published on time as many IT initiatives has been taking by the government for faster resulting. Currently, students are given two option either to choose school-based exam or board-based exam.
This year 8,84,710 candidates would be taking the board-based exam 7,82,863 candidates will take the board-based ones.
From class 10th, a total of 16,67,573 students have registered for the last year. Last year 14,91,371 have applied to sit for the board exam. As many as 16354 have registered in this year’s board exam.
From class 12th about 10,98,420 will appear for the exam which is slightly higher from last year that is 10,65,719. The number of schools has also increased as compared to last year with 10,677 have registered for the exam. In 2015, 10,093 schools participated.
